Lead Pastor: Kevin Guetschow

Kevin grew up in Plainwell, MI and attended Western Michigan University. Kevin met his wife, Karen, while in high school. They were married in 1981. Kevin and Karen have two children, Erin and Erik.

In 2010, following 28 years managing and owning businesses in the automotive field, they sold their business and moved to Kent City, MI to enter into ministry through the United Methodist Local Pastor Licensing process. Kevin completed his theological education in 2016 at United Theological Seminary.

In 2017 Kevin and Karen brought their energy and passion to CrossWind Community Church and the Dorr community. “We feel there needs to be spaces and places in every community, where people feel comfortable and welcomed – as they are, where they are – to experience the love of Jesus.”

Life Verse: “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.” Psalm 40: 1-3

Favorite Books:  Hmmmm… tough one. First thought… The Bible. Second thought, Wild at Heart by John Eldredge
