My name is Joe Shaler and I am the Pastor of CrossWind Community Church.  My wife’s name is Terri Shaler.  We have 5 children and 7 grandchildren and counting. My wife, Terri, is the executive Director of “Christian Neighbors,” the Community Food Pantry and Helping Agency in the Plainwell and Otsego Area. We enjoy serving God in ministry to others.

I became a United Methodist Pastor in 2000 after serving a year-long Chaplain internship at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. I received my seminary training to become a Pastor at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.  Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Saginaw Valley University. Prior to that, I served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. I was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated High School from Midland Dow High School.

I love being a United Methodist Pastor, I love the People of the Church, I love serving God and sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ through the Church.  Our Church and I are here to serve.
